My sweet friend from my last job was in town visiting with friends and we ended up going to dinner in SOHO. Thanks for taking time out of your busy travels to see us! It was so fun!
So we finally found our favorite hot sauce...Chulula Sauce! We had to secretly slip it into my purse at a mexican restaurant we went to one night...ha! The next day we found some at a HUGE Tesco (grocery store) that was found when we were walking one night. Its as big as a US grocery store...we were very happy! Still no G2 for Tony though :(
This picture was taken at the very popular "Boat Race" that they have every year. Its when everyone (250,000 people) lines up on each side of the Thames river (runs through London) and watches Cambridge and Oxford race for 17 total minutes. I guess the main idea of this is for everyone to get there 4 hours early and enjoy drinks and music until the race starts. It was really fun! Cambridge Won! Here's the website:http://www.theboatrace.org/
After the Boat Race I dragged Tony to a show in Picadlly Circus. This reminds me alot of a mini times square. Since Tony has never seen a show we decided it would be beest to wean him into the process and start with a non singing, non dancing, comedy show called 39 steps. It was okay....NO MUSICAL! I will get him to go to one show before we leave...Ha!
SO....this picture has a lot of explaining that goes along with it. So its Easter here and we wanted to make it feel like we were with family and friends as much as possible. So we decided we would cook a huge dinner and make it a tradition for now on for Easters. We thought of Shepards pie...no, eggplant parmesean...no, Ham...no. Lets do a big turkey, with good sides, appetizers, and bread pudding. So we checked Sat to see if grocery stores would be open on Easter and it said they would be. Of coarse we walk to the store and its closed! Then 8 stores later we finally cam up with a chicken (no one had a turkey), asparagus, stuff for deviled eggs, salad, roasted potatoes, and bread pudding. Along the cooking process i notice that there is white stuff dripping off the turkey pan.....we open it up and what do we see????? When Tony placed the turkey in the oven we also placed an entire plastic cutting board that is still roasting in the oven every time we cook. This is why men do not belong in the kitchen...haha!
This was the final product...not bad for our first Easter!

This past weekend it was so pretty out (65 and Sunny) so we decided to walk around Portabello Market for a couple hours. It was so fun to me but Tony got a little bored! Tony commented that my mom and I would probably spend hours here when she came! I agreed!
This is the street Portabello Market is on. The buildings were so cool all being different colors. The only advise I would give is don't go on the first pretty warm day in London and on a Weekend....PACKED!
I had to take a picture of this. These were all over the Market and they looked and smelled delicious...not sure what it was but it looked Yummy!
We hope everyone had a great Easter Holiday! I promise i will be better about posting now that we have internet. We miss everyone!
